The SoS Second Anniversary Event runs for just under a month, and consists of 3 weekly "events" complete with leaderboards, a final "Lift Off" event that runs for 3 days and a few minor events that run for the entire duration.
The SoS Second Anniversary Event can be accessed using the button located next to the Event Billboard, or using the Event Billboard banner.
The main event screen (shown above) is the main hub for this event. At the bottom of this screen are the active sub event buttons. These will change depending on the current week, and sometimes will still show sub events that are not active on that day. Clicking on the "..." button will open the list of sub events for the current week, showing when they will be active. Note: Dates will vary by state.
The Airship Designs opens up the stage screen, which will show the current stage, the state leaderboard and a button to the current weeks event screen in the bottom right. There is also an overall leaderboard that wraps up on the last day of the event. This leaderboard is similar to the usual skin event leaderboard, except that you can "level up" a trophy and then buy an expanded reward pack. For more information on each section, use the menu above.
Airship Construction focuses on building a giant BLIMP! To do this players must gather various resources from the wilderness. Made up of 4 sub-events (explained below), the three resource types: Microfibre Leather, Ultralight Metal and Engine Part are obtained from the 4 sub-events, and are handed in in stacks of 4. Event resources are also contained in daily task reward chests, so DO YOUR DAILYS!
The chests shown above are unlocked by state participation (total points aquired by your state).
The 'Day of Hope - The Comeback' screen is where you turn in the materials you have gathered. It also has links to the State, Solo and Stage leaderboards. When you turn in materials you have a chance to receive a random reward (up to 25 times per material type). The video below has a quick overview of the week 1 event.
The materials required are obtained from the 4 events below:
The events work as follows:
Check the Rewards tab for info on leaderboard rewards!
Time to fuel up that BLIMPY! - This weeks events focus on gathering Energy Tanks. These are obtained from 3 sub events shown below.
Also available this week is the Energy Catalyst. These little babies will boost the points gained from handing in your Energy Tanks!. These are won by having the fastest time on your server each day for the Gol Goroth's Maw event. NOTE: The Catalyst when activated lasts for 5 mintes. During that time points gained are boosted by 20%, and this MAY be in effect for the entire state (unconfirmed). My suggestion is to hold onto your Energy Tanks until the last day of the event, use whatever Catalyst you have and then hand them all in!
Week 2 state chest rewards. (Same as week 1, if you were wondering :)
The 'Airship Designs' screen is where you turn in the Energy Tanks and activate the Energy Catalyst. Same deal as week 1, links to leaderboards, etc, etc. This week there are 4 rewards chests for individual turnin, watch the mini vid below for week overview and reward details.
And now onto this weeks sub events! The first event, 'Energy Catalys on Sale', is purely for those who wish to spend money to get Energy Tanks/Catalyst (and a bunch of other goodies) with a twist! Each level of pack has additional goodies that will unlock when a certain number of players have purchased that pack. Info below, details of packs in game.
Hmmm. The MAW. This insane event requires a lot of 'slpainin, so I made a video. There a a few key points just down below to be aware of that didnt make it into the video (and some that did). The MAW runs all week long, has a daily speed run leaderboard (insane difficulty only) and some tasty rewards available (too many to list).
First some key points, then a cheesy MAW! event infomercial...
Lastly, Operation Fuel. Complete Specially Marked intel for Energy Tanks. 5 per day, nothing special. Runs daily for week 2.
Time to paint the blimp red! This weeks events focus on collecting paint. These are obtained from the Wheel of Fortune, Airship Guardian and Painting Battle sub-events.
The ‘Airship Designs’ and ‘Day of Hope’ screen is where you turn in the paint and submit your airship painting picture. The most voted picture will be displayed on the blimp at the end. The same as previous weeks, there are 4 rewards chests as per below.
Without further ado, onto the sub-events:
There is also a Time-limited Sale Store where you can exchange biocaps for different items i.e speedups, resources, hero parts, chief gear etc.
The Anniversary Memories 2021 Book shows you a bunch of stats about your last year (or part of), lets you pick a badge, leave your future self a message, play with stickers and gives a couple of rewards. Access it from the event screen using the link below.
On every page there is a "share" icon on the top left, under the back arrow. Click this and the game will prepare a screenshot of the page you are on and prompt you to share it to a social media network.
One page will allow you to leave your future self a message, which those who were playing before the 1st anniversary will be familiar with. If by some strange chance you are still playing next year for the 3rd anniversary, you will be able to read your note then :)
After you've left yourself a funny/mean note, page 10 will reveal your stats for the past year, but not before prompting you to pick a badge! Badges appear to be unlocked based on certain tasks/achievements over the year, so your available badges will likely differ. Once you pick your badge you can't change it!
Once you pick your badge, you can see your badge, stats and profile pic on page 10. The badge you select will show as a banner in the wilderness on your settlement. If you want to hide or show this banner, click the "Eye" icon.
After sharing any page of the book to a social media platform you will be able to claim 500 Caps.
The last page (currently) shows stats for your activites during week 1, and will only appear once you have turned in one lot of construction materials. You can claim 5 x Becca Frags from this page.
I suspect a new page will be added for each week of the event, so be sure to check back to this book each week!
The Celebration Redecoration event allows you to create or upgrade the skins for this event using the Badge of Hope. Its accessed using the link below.
Badges of Hope are obtained from certain events, as random rewards or by dismantling event skins you have already unlocked as shown below.
Got on the weekly leaderboard, somewhere near the top? You may have got one of these Resource Bounty's. Deploy one of these and you and your alliance (and anyone who finds it) can 'gather' resources from it.
